Brother of Oasis stars denies rape, other charges
The older brother of Oasis singers Liam and Noel Gallagher denied rape and a string of other charges on Friday as he appeared in a London court.
Paul Gallagher, 59, who lives in the British capital, was charged in July with the offences that relate to the same woman and allegedly occurred between 2022 and 2024.
He also denied coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Judge Anupama Thompson ordered that Gallagher could remain on conditional bail as she set a previsional trial date for September 2027.
"I'm very sorry that it's such a long time away, but we have a number of cases that need to be listed," Thompson said.
Gallagher has never been part of Oasis.
His younger brothers are in the middle of an international reunion tour, performing together for the first time since the Britpop band split up in 2009.
Paul Gallagher was dropped as a DJ at an Oasis afterparty in Dublin earlier this month, local media reported.
