France scrum-half Serin commits for two more seasons to Toulon
France international scrum-half Baptiste Serin has extended his contract with French Top 14 side Toulon for two seasons until 2028.
The 31-year-old joined Toulon in 2019 from Bordeaux-Begles and has played 135 matches, scoring 29 tries.
With his contract expiring at the end of the season, Serin had been the subject of speculation linking him to other Top 14 clubs, or suggesting he had been approached by the rival competition, R360.
With this contract extension, "Toulon affirms its commitment to building a solid, experienced, and loyal team, led by top-level players fully invested in the red and black project," the southwestern club said in a statement.
"Baptiste is a player brimming with talent. His contract extension is excellent news for the club and for all our supporters," said Toulon manager Pierre Mignoni.
The scrum-half has missed only one Toulon match this season. He has been capped 46 times and was called up to the French national team on Thursday as an additional player against Fiji following Nolann Le Garrec's withdrawal.
